DiscountASP.NET Launches Support for Microsoft Web Deployment Tool on Windows 2008 Hosting Platform

The tool allows developers to package their web application configurations and content, including databases, and to use the packages for both deployment and archiving.

The Web Deployment Tool significantly improves the web deployment experience for developers hosting at DiscountASP.NET. The tool allows developers to package their web application configurations and content, including databases, and to use the packages for both deployment and archiving.

With feature delegation support, DiscountASP.NET customers can deploy their application packages to the web and SQL servers using IIS Manager without requiring administrative privileges, including the ability to set folders as an application starting point. The tool also supports the management of parameter changes between development, staging and production environments, for example, updating of the database connection string. During application deployment only files that has changed is synchronized saving both time and bandwidth.
