Redemtech set aside over $10,000 of professionally refurbished equipment to award to deserving organizations from Redemtech’s Red Rabbitt™ brand of Microsoft Authorized Refurbished computers.

Redemtech’s ‘Serious Good’ contest asks Twitter users to nominate their favorite non-profit, NGO, school or public library to win a package of much-needed desktop computers, refurbished to the highest standards.

To nominate an organization, an individual or organization needs to follow Redemtech on Twitter (@Redemtech) and post a single Tweet within 140 characters stating why the organization needs computers to expand programs, extend services to more people or better serve their local community. Eligible organizations can nominate themselves or be nominated by someone outside the organization. Multiple nominations do not increase the chance of winning.

Each nomination must include all of the following: the name of the organization, city and state where the organization is located, how the donated computers will “multiply the good” and the following Twitter ‘hashtag’: #seriousgood.

Nominations open on Monday, November 9 and must be submitted via Twitter by 8 p.m. EST on November 30, 2009.

The awards will be top-brand business-grade desktop computers from Red Rabbitt, refurbished to the highest standards. The computers feature the certified genuine Windows® XP Professional operating system and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Finalists will be selected based on the nominated organization’s potential to use the donated equipment to “multiply the good” as described in the tweet. Redemtech will review the entries and determine a maximum of 20 organizations as Finalists. These organizations will be contacted by phone or email to ensure they meet program qualifications.

These Finalists will be posted on http://blog.redemtech.com/ on Monday, December 7, for voting by the general public. Anyone can vote. Recipients will be the five organizations that receive the most votes.

Voting will close at 8 p.m. EST on Monday, December 14, with winners named by Friday, December 18.

Redemtech will deliver the equipment, and organizations must claim their awards by January 31, 2010. If winning organizations do not need desktop computers, they may choose other office equipment or computer accessories from the Red Rabbitt store for an equivalent dollar value.
