Stinkyink Smell of Roses with New Printer Driver Article

Transition to New Operating System Made Easy with Stinkyink

(PRWEB) November 9, 2009 — Continuing their tradition of exemplary customer service and support, Stinkyink has spent days researching the main manufacturers of the printers that they sell ink for, to compile a comprehensive reference list of what updated and compatible drivers are currently available for the recent Windows 7 release.

“…nearly all peripheral device drivers that worked with Vista will work with 7.”- Robert Williams, Stinkyink IT Manager

Windows 7 is the latest publically available edition of the Windows NT family of operating systems (released 22.10.09), being released less than three years after its predecessor, Windows Vista. It has been designed upon the same architecture as Vista, but with many added features, such as a new and improved taskbar; in addition it has various performance improvements, so it runs faster than the memory-intensive Vista.

Many of the big names in printing, such as Brother, Canon, Epson, HP, and Lexmark, have published driver updates for their existing products, and lists of their printers which should already be compatible. Most of these can be found on the manufacturers’ websites on their respective Windows 7 pages; however a notable couple lack any obvious mention of the new operating system.

Stinkyink IT Director, Robert Williams, said: “Windows 7 has been designed with users in mind – nearly all peripheral device drivers that worked with Vista will work with 7. Manufacturers like HP are preparing accordingly for the change in operating system, releasing compatible drivers for their machines to ensure the transition is smooth.”
