Antivirus Definitions Update
An antivirus update is a file contains malware definitions that needed by antivirus in order to detect infections during scanning and remove the detection malware. Usually the update file has definitions of new malware or updated information on existing infection definitions that already existed within its database. Malware is a general term for computer infections that divided into different groups according to its variants such as spyware, Trojan, computer worm, rootkit, keylgger, rogue antispwyare (scam security software), adware, virus, hoax and dialer.
Antivirus update is published often on daily basis. Antivirus program will be scheduled to download the update file daily whenever the Internet connection is available. However there are errors that usually occur while downloading the update due to certain reasons such as computer virus infection, disturbed internet connection, incompatibly between the antivirus program and the computer and wrong software settings.
