Power Point Misspelling in Search

Power Point is referred to PowerPoint application which is a part of Microsoft Office suite. It is a common mistake for Internet users to type in “Power Point” to search for the popular presentation editor. You might never imagine that, more than 650,000 searches in the US and 5 Million users worldwide through Google search engine (according to Google Adwords keyword tool). Robert Gaskins of Forethought, Inc, which is one of the inventor of the presentation editing software gave the idea to its name. When Microsoft bought the company in August 1987, it then referred to Microsoft PowerPoint and included as part of MS Office. Why Power and Point? It might be because of the software’s features. When we run the slide show, we are able to point out our messages in the powerful way. Brilliant yet simple name, isn’t it?
